When registering on this website you are asked to provide personal information. The registration form is clearly marked with what can be and what cannot be seen by other members. The only information viewable by other members of this website is non-sensitive personal information like Name, Graduation Year, School of Graduation, etc. Items such as your Street Address, Email Address, and other sensitive information is securely stored in our database as a means of keeping an up-to-date directory and contacting you for alumni events. While other members have the ability to send emails to you via the website software at no time is your email address given to them. If you choose to become an Alumni Association member you will be taken to a third party payment processor (i.e. PayPal). Your payment information is never entered and never stored on our website. PayPay provides a secure means of paying by Bank Account, Check, or Credit Card and is done so through their secure connections using SSL encryption. Upon completion of your payment you will be returned to our website. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. The Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation (CUSF) is our Umbrella organization and is currently the only third party entity that has access to alumni information for the purpose of sending out newsletters and attempting to keep an up-to-date alumni directory. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. We use Cookies (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information) as a means of allowing users to log-in to our website and have them be remembered for their next visit. Various preference settings may also be contained in cookies so that users do not have to change settings for each visit. We do NOT use cookies as a means of tracking movement through our site or as a means of tracking advertisements. |
